Jul 10, 2011We REALLY wanted to love this place. We have a chocolate lab puppy who really benefitted from running around and playing with the other dogs. The staff upfront are friendly and the facilities are nice. Our complaint is this, I went to pick up our dog, who came to Sam's healthy and he was clearly sick. His face was covered with green mucus and instead of bouncing off the walls, which he normally does - he was lethargic. I took him directly to the vet who prescribed meds. NOT a huge deal, what was a huge deal was that we never got a call that he was sick. We found out that other people who had taken their dog to Sam's at the same time also were sick. And all of us called Sam and left messages to speak to the owner concerning their policies on handling sick dogs and he never returned any of our phone calls, not one! To me this is a clear sign of, he just didn't care about the dogs, just wanted the money. He should have returned our phone calls, if NOTHING else other than to say he was sorry to hear the dog had been ill. I would think. Anyway, we will not be back.
